Abstract Color

This collection explores color as a language in its own right, without relying on a literal subject. Refracted light, glass, reflections, and saturated fields transform familiar materials into vivid, almost painterly compositions where forms dissolve and reassemble.

Rhythm, transparency, and the meeting of contrasting hues are central to these works. Cool blues sit alongside fiery reds; ordered grids shift into fluid waves. These are photographs made for slow looking, changing with scale, screen light, and viewing distance.

Gauche neon compartments swell across a portrait-oriented frame, joining hot pink, acid green, turquoise, orange, scarlet, and creamy white in a feverish visual exchange. Rounded chambers press against one another beneath glossy skins, their edges pulled into streaks that resemble softened plastic, painted gel, or luminous candy. Fine ridges ripple through several surfaces, adding tactile vibration beneath the intense pigment. A glowing orange pocket near the right side provides a warm anchor, while cooler teal expanses counterbalance the surrounding fuchsia energy. The scale remains unknowable, allowing the image to hover between microscopic structure, imagined architecture, and pure chromatic sensation.
